Coach Marcio Maximo replaces banned players

Kilimanjaro Stars coach Marcio Maximo has picked three players to replace those who have been banned.


The Tanzania football Federation (TFF) Secretary-General, Fredrick Mwakalebela, said yesterday that the Brazilian had called goalie Ally Mustapha of Simba to replace Ivo Mapunda (Yanga).

He said Maximo had also picked Ashanti United defender Himir Tale to replace Shadrack Nsajigwa (Yanga) and Prisons` Saidi Mtupa to replace Haruna Moshi (Simba).

Mapunda and Nsajigwa have been suspended by their club for six months each while Moshi is facing a three-month suspension from TFF.

The Kilimanjaro Stars will start residential camp tomorrow to prepare for the East and Central Africa Senior Challenge Cup which will be staged from December 8-22 in Dar es Salaam.

Mwakalebela said the team would camp at Bulyanhulu in Shinyanga.

Other players who form the team are Shabani Dihule, Frank Mutego, Salum Sued, Bakari Nzige, Aloyce Adam, Meshack Abel, Saidi Sued, Amir Maftah, Stephano Mwasika, Juma Jabu, Henry Joseph, Erasto Nyoni and Shabani Nditi.

There are also Casthori Mumbala, Dennis Mukebezi, Nizar Khalfan, John Kanakamfumu, Samuel Ngassa, Misango Magae, Mokili Lamboss, Vicent Barnabas, Danny Mrwanda, Mike Chuma, Uhuru Selemani, Kigi Makasi and Suleiman Misenghi.
