NMB now to sponsor Intellectuals Gala 2007

The National Microfinance Bank (NMB) has come forward to sponsor the inaugural bonanza for higher learning institutions set for October 20 at the University of Dar es Salaam sports grounds.

The bank`s Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, Imani Kajula, said in Dar es Salaam yesterday that NMB was happy to be associated with the event.

``This is an opportunity for NMB to work closely with the students who we value a lot in our business,`` he said.
However, he didn`t disclose the sponsorship package but said ``it`s a good support``.

He said NMB values sports as a means to unite people, adding that this is the reason why the bank has been supporting various sports events including the national soccer team, Taifa Stars.
