General Secretary for Tanzania Football Federation (TFF)Mr Mwakarebera

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has fined Simba and Yanga 500,000/- each for causing chaos in their Vodacom Premier League match played at Morogoro`s Jamhuri Stadium last Wednesday.

TFF Information Officer Florian Kaijage said yesterday that Yanga were fined because their fans blocked cars boarded by Simba players.

He said the fans also threw water bottles to Simba players which at last caused Haruna Moshi to get injury.

Kaijage said TFF had also ordered Yanga to meet the treatment costs of the Simba striker.

He said Simba were fined because they threw water bottles and stones to Yanga players something which made the match which Simba won 1-0 to stop for a while.

TFF also fined Police Dodoma 300,000/- for causing chaos in their match against Prisons. The game which ended 1-1 was staged at the Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.

The soccer body also imposed a two-month ban on Coastal Union manager Mohamed Maganga for insulting the referee when his team played Kagera Sugar on October 18. The manager has been fined 200,000/-.

In another development, TFF has suspended five match commissioners and two referees for two months each for failing to submit their match reports in time to the national soccer body.

The commissioners who were suspended are Alfred Rwiza, Charles Komba, Fulgence Novatus, Omary Juma and Moshi Juma.

The referees are Medard Burass and Iddi Mwana.
Meanwhile, TFF has said that teams which have not completed registration of their youth teams will not be allowed to play in the second round of the league.
The deadline for submitting the names will be November 15.
