Norfolk targets Nottingham repeat
Norfolk is currently ranked second in the world quad singles rankings
Britain's Peter Norfolk will bid to retain his quad singles title at the Nottingham Indoor Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, which begins on Wednesday.
The Athens Paralympic gold medallist won the inaugural quad singles title at the US Open Wheelchair Tennis event at Flushing Meadows in September.
The world number two's main challenge will come from last year's runner-up, Shraga Weinberg of Israel.
A record total of 109 players from 19 nations will compete at the tournament.
The men's singles features four world top-10 ranked players - Maikel Scheffers of the Netherlands, Japan's Satoshi Saida, Tadeusz Kruszelnicki of Poland and Stefan Olsson of Sweden.
The British challenge will be led by juniors David Phillipson and Gordon Reid while former champion Jayant Mistry, who confirmed his retirement from international competition in July, will make his final appearance of the year.
World number 10 Lucy Shuker and rising star Jordanne Whiley carry British hopes in the women's singles.
But world number two Sharon Walraven of the Netherlands and defending champion and world number six Mie Yaosa of Japan represent a tough challenge.
