The Tanzania Hockey Association (THA) has organised a regional hockey umpiring course in Arusha from October 26 to 28.
THA Secretary-General Kaushik Doshi said yesterday that the local body had organised the clinic in conjunction with Africa Hockey Union.
He said the participants would come from Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and host Tanzania.
The said course would be part of the project THA signed with Kenya Hockey Union (KHU).
The course being an advance level in umpiring, will be conducted by an instructor from South Africa.
Doshi said that the course would help to improve the standard of umpiring in the country.
This is the second time in recent years, such course is being held, the last one which was an elementary level was held in Tanga in 2005 at regional level.
