Simba fall to Prisons as Moro United pip Mtibwa Sugar one nil

Prisons extended their lead when they hit Simba 1-0 in a Vodacom Premier League match played at the Sokoine Stadium here yesterday.

Defender Said Kokoo scored an own goal in the 73rd minute when he was in a move to clear the ball from the danger zone.

Prisons now top the league on 18 points while Simba remain with six points.

In Morogoro, Moro United crashed Mtibwa Sugar 1-0 in another match staged at the Jamhuri Stadium.

Teenager Hassan Bwaza scored the lone goal through a penalty in the 64th minute.

Referee David Paul from Mtwara awarded the penalty to the winners when Jumanne Hassan fouled Obadia Mahungusa.
Moro United now have eight points in their kit while Mtibwa Sugar have seven.

In Dodoma, hosts Police Dodoma and Police Moro forced a barren draw in another game played at the Jamhuri Stadium.
In Arusha, JKT Ruvu defeated Coastal Union 1-0.

Meanwhile, Yanga host Toto Africans at Morogoro`s Jamhuri Stadium. Ashanti United will also play Kagera Sugar in Moshi.
