Nigeria change friendly opponents

Nigeria have announced they will play Australia in London on 17 November rather than travelling to play Slovenia as part of their preparations for next year's African Cup of Nations' finals in Ghana.

Earlier in the week the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) announced a match against Switzerland in Berne on 20 November.

The Super Eagles have already qualified for the finals after finishing top of Group 3 on 15 points.

Nigeria are also due to travel to play Mexico on 14 October, however Berti Vogt's will be without two players for the game.

Portsmouth striker Nwankwo Kanu is out with a knee injury and Richard Eromoigbe of Levski Sofia has a thigh strain.

Dele Adeleye of Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam and Paul Obiefule of Danish club Lyn Oslo have been drafted in to replace the injured duo.
