Ashanti United halt Simba

Simba were held to a goalless draw by Ashanti United in a Vodacom Premier League match played at the Jamhuri Stadium on yesterday.

The two teams now tie on 10 points after playing eight matches each.

They have also drawn four times each but Simba lead on goal defference.

Simba head coach Jamhuri Kihwelu said his team played well although they did not use the few chances they got.

He also blamed the referee for failing to maintain the game despite the fact that both teams played well.

In Mwanza, the match between Toto Africans and Police Morogoro which was supposed to be played at the Kirumba Stadium yesterday did not take place and will now be played today.
