To help mark UEFA's Jubilee, each national association was asked to nominate its most outstanding player of the past 50 years. In the latest in a series of articles looking at the Golden Player selected by the nations who have qualified for UEFA EURO 2008™, uefa.com remembers the career of Greece's Vassilis Hatzipanagis.
Football legend has it that a group of Greek defenders once threatened to sue Vassilis Hatzipanagis because "he makes a fool of us on the pitch and we want compensation". Exaggeration aside, Hatzipanagis was the most spectacular player ever to grace Greece's soccer arenas.
