Cricket: India v Pakistan 3rd ODI

Yuvraj struck a fine 77 as India built an imperious total in Kanpur

THIRD ONE-DAY INTERNATIONAL, Kanpur:
India 294-6 (50 overs) beat Pakistan 248 all out (47.2 overs) by 46 runs
India took a 2-1 lead over Pakistan in the five-match one-day series after easing to a comfortable win in Kanpur.

Yuvraj Singh produced another fine innings for India, making 77 and putting on 100 with Mahendra Dhoni (49) as the home side amassed 294-6.

Salman Butt scored a wonderful 129 - his highest ODI score - as Pakistan recovered from a poor start, but only Misbah-ul-Haq (38) offered any support.

RP Singh took 3-62 as India bowled Pakistan out for 248 from 47.2 overs.

Butt can count himself desperately unlucky to end up on the losing side after compiling his fourth ODI hundred - all of them coming against arch rivals India.

India's sizeable score was largely due to a quickfire start from Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly and then the brilliant partnership between Yuvraj and Dhoni.
