Tanzania reach Cecafa last eight
Burundi players celebrate after their victory over Kenya
Tanzania and Burundi qualified for the quarter-finals of the Cecafa Challenge Cup after winning their Group A matches in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.
Burundi stunned Kenya 1-0 to while Tanzania also edged out Somalia by the same scoreline.
The two sides will now face each other in their final group match to determine who finishes at the top of the standings.
Henry Mbazumutima scored the lone goal for Burundi after 33 minutes - placing a powerful low shot after being set by Seleman Ndikumana from the left wing.
The Burundians dominated the match with man-of-the-match Seleman Ndikumana a thorn in the Kenyan side with his pace.
Meanwhile, it took Tanzania 65 minutes to find the back of the net against the hard-working Somalians.
But Michael Chuma's strike did little to satisfy the home fans, who booed the team and cheered their team opponents as the match progressed.
Taifa Stars coach Marcio Maximo told BBC Sport that reaching the quarter-finals was the main objective.
Kenya, who lost their opening match 2-1 to Tanzania on Saturday, will meet Somalia in a winner-takes-all clash to decide who joins Tanzania and Burundi from Group A the quarter-finals.
The tournament continues on Thursday with matches pitting Rwanda against Djibouti and Zanzibar against Ethiopia.
