End in sight for Poland's Bąk
Jacek Bąk will retire from international football next summer
Poland defender Jacek Bąk has announced his decision to retire from international football after UEFA EURO 2008™. The 34-year-old FK Austria Wien player is the fourth most capped player in the history of Polish football with 90 appearances for his country.
Bad back
"You should know when to leave the stage," he said. "I am already 34 and my football adventure is slowly coming to an end. I was already considering retirement before the friendly game with Russia in August. I have some health problems and my spine is not in the best condition. I will not play in the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign."
