Twiga Stars need 70m/-


The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) said yesterday that it needs 70m/- to support the national women soccer team to start training camp for African Nations Cup.

Twiga Stars will play away their first match against Eritrea between November 30 and December 2.

TFF Secretary-General Frederick Mwakalebela said they were still looking for sponsors who would boost the team.

Mwakalebela said the team would play a friendly match against Zanzibar to get the Union team which will represent Tanzania in the tournament.

Twiga Stars coach Boniface Mkwasa has already picked 28 players to form the Mainland team.

The players are Fatuma Omary, Nelly Fortunatus, Tausi Saleh, Hilda Masanche, Mwanaidi Abdallah, Neema Munishi, Amina Mwinchumu, Fatuma Foe and Flora Kayanda, Mwanaidi Yusuph, Tina Victor, Catherine Nathaniel, Jacquiline Richard and Neema Kuga.

Others are Fadhila Hamad, Fatuma Bushiri, Mwanahamisi Omary, Semeni Abdallah, Asha Rashid, Mwapewa Mtumwa, Esther Chaburuma, Fatuma Mustapha, Neema Sanga and Mary Pantaleo.
