Saadane back as Algeria coach

Saadane first coached Algeria back in 1981

Rabah Saadane is returning as coach of Algeria's national team.

The Algerian football federation announced on Wednesday that Saadane will replace Frenchman Jean Michel Cavali.

Cavali was fired after Algeria failed to qualify for the finals of the 2008 Nations Cup.

This will be Saadane's fifth stint as coach of the Desert Foxes.

The most recent spell ended at the 2004 Nations Cup finals, when he resigned after Algeria's defeat to Morocco in the quarter-finals.
