JKT Ruvu best in penalty shootouts

JKT Ruvu are the team which have been awarded many penalty shootouts in the ongoing Vodacom Premier League.

Their striker Kessy Mapande is also the leading scorer of the penalties in the league. So far he has scored all three penalties which the Coast Region team have been awarded.

Statistics show that JKT Ruvu were given a penalty in their match against Mtibwa Sugar, the game which the Turiani-based team won 2-1.

They were also awarded another one in their game against Moro United of which they won 2-0. One of the goals was scored through a penalty.

They also scored through a penalty in their last match against Police Morogoro in the match which they won 1-0.
Mainland champions Simba, Prisons and Pan Africans have been awarded two penalties each.

Shaaban Kisiga scored one for Simba in a game against Pan Africans and the other by Moses Odhiambo against Kagera Sugar.

Yona Ndabila scored both penalties for Prisons. Fortunatus Kaunda and Rashid Roshwa each scored one goal for Pan Africans.

Police Dodoma, Mtibwa Sugar, Moro United, Manyema, Coastal Union and Toto Africans have got one penalty each. Toto Africans missed theirs against Yanga.

JKT are placed third in the 14-league standing on 11 points out of seven matches.
