BSS set to drop 20 at British Council auditions

The Bongo Star Search (BSS) top 20 will be known after auditions to be held today and tomorrow at the British Council in Dar es Salaam are completed.

The Benchmark Productions Managing Director, Rita Paulsen, said yesterday that a two-day audition would see 20 contests qualifying for the next stage of the singing competition.

Paulsen said 40 aspirants who were selected in auditions held in Dar es Salaam, Mbeya, Zanzibar, Dodoma and Mwanza, would vie for the top 20.

Dar es Salaam will be represented by 15 aspirants while other regions will have five contestants each.

Dar es Salaam will be represented by Margaret John, Patali Wilson, Rogers Lucas, Maangaza Nyange, Enoch Ruta, Manfred Mwasote, Misoji Nkwabi, Stephen Wills, Elly Nema, Boniswa Domoy, Baby Madaha, Mary Banyukwa, Kelvin Mbati, Charlene Pownall and Venessa John.

Mbeya will be represented by Rahim Mohamed, Cathrine Webesta, Furaha Charles, Ombeni Moses and Shafi Hamis.

Rose Joseph, Ramadhani Msuya, Gasper Chikawe, Nassoro Saidi and George Joseph are representing Dodoma.

Mwanza representatives are Renny Gondoza, Godliver Laurent, Kiyungi Ally, Kwilasa Nzungu a.k.a �Faster� and Yohana Simon.

Ramadhani Suleyman, Benedict Shelukindo, Nassoro Mgonja, Joseph Adrian and Angeris Faber are representing Arusha while Mwasiti Ally, Michael Dotto, Yusuf Robat, Godwin Byato and Feisal Ismail are from Zanzibar.
The contestants are camping at the Giraffe Ocean View Hotel.

Sponsors are Tigo, Coca-Cola, LG, Tacaids and Giraffe Ocean View Hotel.
